First stop of the day is a small village called Trošti, known as the "capital of Istria" mainly because of its geographical position which is located in the very center of the peninsula.

Pazin village

After the tour of the village, cycling tours continues by slightly descending towards Pazin where St. Nicholas Church is located (10: 00-10: 30). The church dates back to the 13th century and is recognizable by its frescoes of "angels struggles" which represent the struggle between good and evil. Alongside the church is the Franciscan Monastery of Mary's Prayer, one of the oldest Franciscan monasteries in these areas and originally was built based on the church of St.Nicholas. Throughout history, people formed a tradition of forgiveness of sins to everyone who visits the church on 2nd of August and traditions lives on today.

Pazin castle

The next destination is Pazin Castle was originally built in 983. which makes it also one the oldest and most preserved castles in Istria. The castle has gone through various war conflicts and changes of power, but still exists in its original form today and is, therefore, a trademark of Pazin.

Adrenaline rush

After a cultural sightseeing tour, the adrenaline "zip line"  takes place (11: 00-11: 30). It starts on Hotel Lovac  Green terrace in Pazin and is divided into four parts. First, two lines are 80 meters long and they are so-called „training lines“ which serves as a preparation for the main lines that are crossing the canyon. The third line is 220 m long which is more than enough times for you to reach an average speed of 50 km/h which still being 100m of the ground.  The fourth and the longest line (280 m) is also the most interesting one since it gives you enough time to enjoy the unusual view on a grandiose abyss and a medieval castle on its cliffs. The landing spot is on the belvedere above the Grandma's house cave, exactly on the spot from where the famous photo was taken, which was used by illustrator Leon Bennet preparing gravure for Jules Verne's novel "Mathias Sandorf".

Lunch and return

From there a 5-minute walk to the restaurant where an organized lunch will be waiting for you at Hotel Lovac (12:00-12:30).  After lunch, a 40-minute drive to Pula awaits us.
